Fitness Training

These classes use a combination of functional training, circuits and sports drills to help you get better at sports, practice technique and improve your all round fitness.

Develop the building blocks for all-round fitness.
The Foundations classes are 30 minute sessions that focus on a different area every day of the week. These classes are designed to help you work on different aspects of what you need to be good at any sport like agility, speed, stamina, flexibility and strength.

Good for people short on time who are wanting to improve their general all-round fitness or to focus on specific weaker areas.

Our sports-based fitness classes use a combination of sports drills, functional training and circuit training to create fun and varied workouts that change every day. The classes follow a 4-phase format which includes a playful warmup, a learning segment, the workout and then the rest phase.

Relevant to those looking to use sports style training as a way to stay fit, as well as those interested in developing their knowledge of lots of different spots.

Playground is our most sociable class. It's a gentle, enjoyable, lower intensity one hour session that combines a range of sports drills and exercises to get you moving but all with a view to keeping you at below 70% of your maximum heart-rate, allowing you to train without putting too much stress onto your system and most importantly, leaving you with enough energy to chat to friends throughout the class!

This class is designed for anyone who is new to exercise, recovering from injury, or just looking for a gentler type of training that still provides the benefits of learning about sports and being active.

In this class, we use the art and joy of boxing to take you through a fun and high-energy workout, complete with funky disco and Drum 'n' Bass to entertain you while you sweat. You'll be training and conditioning yourself like a boxer, hitting that bag and building your fitness as you go.

Great for those looking for fun ways to stay fit or those with an interest in learning some of the movements of boxing.

Our flow classes are based on yoga and pilates movements designed to help build core strength and flexibility - central to all sport and fitness as well as the inspiration for our name! Expect to work on bodyweight strength exercises like planks, push ups and “Hollow Rocks” (an exercise designed to improve core strength, taken from gymnastics).  Classes also include dynamic stretches and exercises designed to improve your flexibility.

Great for those interested in core strength and mobility, who are also looking for a less high octane, more meditative style of fitness training.

Our 60+ flow classes are based on yoga and pilates movements designed to help build core strength and flexibility. As we age, our ability to move well and maintain our strength becomes more and more important to work on, to keep us enjoying life to the full. This class is designed to focus on the working on the types of exercises that are most important to keep building at this stage of life.

Great for those interested in working on their strength and flexibility alongside others at a similar stage of life.

Family Flow is a class we have designed as a way to help parents with babies have a chance to do a bit of exercise! It's a low intensity one hour session that combines a range of core strength and flexibility exercises that can be done while babies crawl about or lie on mats. There are lots of balls and cones and various other bits of brightly coloured kit here designed to keep them occupied!

This class is suitable for parents with babies under one who are up to ‘fast crawling’ stage.

Join Hollow Rocks

Hollow Rocks is free to join and gives you access to our running, walking and cycling clubs and our social events. Once you are a member you can purchase the sports training and fitness classes on a pay as you go basis, or in packs.
